Dan Cromwell isn’t slowing down. With over 40 years of experience in commercial real estate, he continues to operate with the precision and foresight that have defined his career. Based in Maui, Hawaii, Cromwell is a solo practitioner specializing in retail, hospitality, value-add, and redevelopment projects.

He recently aligned with eXp Commercial, citing the platform’s global reach and tech-forward tools as key drivers behind his decision.

“I was looking for a firm with a no-frills infrastructure, strong global presence, and robust online tools. eXp Commercial checked every box,” Cromwell shared.

A Track Record That Speaks Volumes

Cromwell earned his CCIM designation in 1990 and served on the CCIM Institute’s International Board of Directors for a decade. His leadership extended from the Pacific Northwest Region as Regional VP to establishing the Institute’s presence at global events like ICSC’s ReCon in Las Vegas, creating new opportunities for independent CCIMs to compete at scale. 

He’s owned and operated successful brokerages across Hawaii, California, Washington, Idaho, and Texas, including the Re/Max franchise for the Island of Hawaii, which he launched in 1990.

Reassessing What’s Next

Though he currently operates as a sole advisor, the recent affiliation with eXp Commercial has him reassessing this set-up and he looks forward to collaborating more closely with his fellow advisors — a rare pivot for someone with his tenure. He attributes this to the strong infrastructure and support he’s experienced since joining eXp Commercial.

“The support has been over-the-top. One of the biggest initial challenges has been sorting through the many services and opportunities available through the eXp Commercial platform and deciding which ones to capitalize on first” he said.

This willingness to reassess and adapt is what sets Cromwell apart: a veteran unafraid to embrace a new model that supports innovative, scalable growth.
